Use of Future Continuous Tense

Future Continuous Tense is used to express the following types of actions that would be happened in the future.

Future Continuous Tense is Used To Express the Future Progressive Actions

Future Continuous Tense can be used to express the going-on actions that would be happened in the future time. It means that the actions that would be started during the future period, and still go on in the future time. For example:

  • They suppose it will be raining when they start.
  • This time tomorrow we shall be sitting on the bench next to the bus station.
  • I shall be playing cricket with my friends then.
  • I shall be writing a letter this time tomorrow.
  • We shall be going to Lahore next week.

Planned Actions That Would Happen in the Future In Normal Course

Future Continuous Tense can be used to express the planned things that would be planned in the present time and would be performed in the future time in a normal routine. For example:

  • They will be staying here till next week.
  • We shall be meeting him on Friday.
  • The milkman will be coming soon.
  • They will be proceeding to Murree in July again this year.
  • This year the Principal will be admitted at least two thousand boys to the first-year class.
