Step 1: Search on Snapchat & Add as a friend

To check someone’s Snapchat profile, start by searching for them on Snapchat and sending a friend request. Once they accept your request, you’ll become friends on Snapchat.

Snapchat doesn’t let you view private profiles unless you’re friends with them.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to adding someone as a friend on Snapchat:

• Open the Snapchat app from the Google Play Store or the App Store if you haven’t already downloaded it.
• Log in to your Snapchat account with your credentials.
• Once logged in, you’ll land on your account page.
• Locate the search box at the top of the home page.
• Type in the username of the person you want to add.
• When the user’s profile appears in the search results, tap the ‘Add’ icon next to their name.

Step 2: Open his Chat on Snapchat

When you add someone on Snapchat, they receive a friend request from you. Once they accept it, you’ll gain access to their profile details on their profile page. So, wait for them to accept your friend request to become friends.

Once your friend request is accepted, you’ll find the person in the chat window within your profile’s chat section. To proceed, open their chat from the chat section.

Here’s how:

• Swipe right from the camera screen to open the chat section.
• Look for the name of the person you’ve added as a friend in the chat list.
• Tap on the user’s name to open the chat screen.
• If you haven’t chatted with the person on Snapchat yet, the chat screen will appear as a white blank.

Step 3: Tap on Bitmoji on chat

Once you’ve opened the chat screen, you’ll see any messages exchanged with the user, if there are any. If you haven’t chatted with the person after they accepted your friend request, the chat screen might be blank.

At the top of the chat screen, you’ll notice the user’s Bitmoji next to their name. Within the chat screen, there are various options available to send stickers, messages, voice messages, and more. You can even initiate voice or video calls directly from this screen.

To access the profile page of the user using this method, simply click on the Bitmoji icon.

Step 4: You can view the user’s profile & DP

When you tap on the user’s profile Bitmoji icon on the top of the chat screen, it will open their profile page. At the page’s top, you’ll find the user’s Bitmoji icon and beneath that, their username.

On this profile page, you’ll see the user’s Snap score displayed just below their Bitmoji icon, along with their zodiac sign. If the user hasn’t activated Ghost mode, scrolling down reveals their Snap Map.

Can you view your Snapchat profile without adding it?

If someone’s Snapchat profile is public and you search for them, you can view their profile details without adding them. However, if their profile is private, you won’t see details like their snap score until after you’ve added them.

Public profiles on Snapchat also share public stories visible to everyone. Yet, if the stories are private and restricted to the user’s friends, you won’t see them unless you’ve added the user.

Keep in mind, you’ll only see the snap score of a user with a private profile after they’ve added you back. To view each other’s snap scores and locations, both profiles need to be friends on Snapchat, especially if they’re private.
