Understanding whether someone is ignoring you on Facebook Messenger becomes crucial if this situation recurs frequently. I’ve encountered this issue with some close friends, prompting me to share this article to help you discern if you’re being ignored.

Have you been left on ‘Seen’?

If someone on Facebook Messenger reads your message but chooses not to respond, it’s easy to spot. Their profile picture thumbnail will appear next to the message, indicating they’ve seen it but haven’t replied.

Now, if your message is delivered but not read, it will show a single gray tick in a circle. Clicking on the message will confirm it’s been delivered. Additionally, the person’s “Active X Hours Ago” status may show up, indicating they’re active on Facebook but haven’t read your message.

This tactic indicates they’re consciously avoiding opening your message to avoid signaling that they’ve seen it. Instead, they remain active on the platform without acknowledging your message. This behavior, as seen in the screenshot, suggests they’re choosing to ignore your message while remaining active on Facebook.

How To Tell If Someone Is Ignoring You On Facebook Messenger On PC?

Similar to the mobile app, on a PC, if you notice the photo thumbnail of your friend beside the text, it means they’ve read your message but decided not to reply, indicating that they’re ignoring the message.

What Does It Mean If The Message Just Shows ‘Sent’?

If you notice a single tick on the message that persists for days, it means the text resides in the ‘message requests’ section of Facebook Messenger.

If the recipient views your message in their message request folder, a solid tick will appear when you hover over it, indicating “delivered.” In the first screenshot, the tick denotes that it’s sent, while in the screenshot below, the solid tick indicates delivery. Hovering over the tick reveals the status.

To access the Message Request folder, the user should go to their Facebook Profile, click on the Messenger Icon, then select the Three Dot menu, and finally, click on Message Requests, as depicted in the screenshot below:
