Adverbs of Past Continuous Tense
Following are some adverbs that can be used with Past Continuous Tense to show the actions of the past progressive actions.
“Always” as an Adverb in Past Continuous Tense:
“Always” can be used as an adverb in Past Continuous Tense with the meaning of “at all time”. Actually, “always” is used to indicate such past progressive actions that would be habitual. So, all the actions that were the habits during the past period can be expressed in Past Continuous Tense with “always” as an adverb.

“Continually” as an Adverb in Past Continuous Tense :
“Continually” is used as an adverb in the Past Continuous Tense sentences to show such actions that would be going on regularly in the past with constant frequency. For example:
